La Marina is a district of the municipality of Elche, in the province of Alicante (Spain). It is located next to the Mediterranean Sea, at the foot of the Sierra del Molar, very close to Guardamar del Segura and next to the Salinas de Santa Pola.

La Marina has 2,293 inhabitants. The area has seen rapid demographic growth in recent years: its population grew by 48% between 2000 and 2006.

Today, La Marina is focused more on sustained tourism thanks to a restrictive policy on uncontrolled urban development. La Marina has an international resort/campsite of the highest category “Great Comfort”, its main tourist attraction for foreigners. Regarding local tourism, the beach awarded with the Blue Flag is the main tourist resource. La Marina also has two hotels and numerous restaurants in its urban area.

It has non-urban beaches with dune systems and large pine forests. The main beach (Las Pesqueras) is 1,100 meters long, continuing south with Los Tusales beach in Guardamar del Segura. It is considered semi-urban because part of the beach has buildings behind it and another part has a large pine forest. It has a Blue Flag, maritime surveillance, and a rental service for sunbeds and umbrellas. It is accessible for the disabled. There is also a nautical station for practicing water sports.

El Pinet beach is located a few meters north of La Marina and has a more traditional look, with houses, restaurants, and two hostels on the beach.

The closest airport to La Marina is Alicante-Elche, about 22 kilometers from the municipality, with connections from major European cities.
