Can Picafort is located in the northeast of the island of Mallorca, directly on the Playa de Muro. In contrast to the west of the island with the center of Palma and the luxury resorts of Andratx, Santa Ponsa and Portal Nous, the northeast places a great deal of value on peace and privacy. In many areas, the landscape is still largely unspoiled. Excessive building over of the island’s land has been prevented. Here people also speak of the “corn chamber” of the island.
