Local Area
Los Lobos is a small village boasting all services and facilities just a short drive from the coast at San Juan de los Terreros. Los Terreros, as it is known locally, is very popular because of the safe bathing in the bay and the white sandy beaches. There is a castle on the left of the bay and some good walks in the area. As usual, for this coastline, you can also find great seafood cuisine, the local tapas are exceptional. There is an exit here on the new toll motorway with easy access to Murcia and Alicante airports which are about an hour and an hour and a half’s drive away respectively.

The new golf course at Los Terreros, Aguilon, is playing well and should prove to be one of the best golf courses in the area. Other golf courses available within a short drive are Desert Springs, Marina Golf, Valle del Este and Cortijo Grande.

The coastline in this area is a mixture of sandy beaches and rocky bays. The remains of the old mining towers and railways can be seen if you follow the coast road south towards Villaricos, an ancient fishing village with 2 marinas and a harbour.
