It would also benefit from a new bright wooden laminate floor. If you are going to live all year round, you will need AC (two modern air heat pumps for low consumption). And, of course, furniture in a more modern style. Then it will be really cozy. If you want the apartment to be perfect, you can renovate the kitchen and the bathrooms too; they work fine as they are, even if the style is not that modern.
Renovating is easy. The important thing is the location: close to both the port and Parque de las Naciones, with everything within walking distance. Plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes, supermarkets, pharmacies, health centre, and less than 20 minutes’ walk to the new large leisure centre in the port with cinemas and restaurants. Nearby you also have several nice parks, playgrounds and mini golf. With several bus lines nearby, you can easily get anywhere in the city with the city buses.
In Torrevieja, with more than 110,000 inhabitants and the third largest city in the province of Alicante, there is of course a complete range of shopping, entertainment, sports facilities, hospitals and schools, as well as direct buses to Alicante airport (45 min).
