Lucena is a municipality in Córdoba, 67 kilometers from the provincial capital. It is situated at an important road junction in the geographic center of Andalusia. It is located next to the newly built A-45 motorway (Córdoba–Málaga), which passes near the west side of the city, and the Autovía del Olivar (Estepa–Úbeda), which runs alongside the city’s built-up area. A few meters away is Avenida Miguel Cuenca, which connects it with the city center, becoming a kind of ring road, popularly called “L-30”. It has regular urban bus lines that go to most points in the city, passing through all the neighborhoods of the town. It also has different shopping centers and hypermarkets, as well as major industries related to furniture, wood, and industrial cold storage.
