Lloret de Mar is a Spanish municipality in the comarca of La Selva, in the province of Girona, located by the sea on the Costa Brava. It has excellent beaches of coarse sand.

It also offers magnificent views of the castle at one end and, at the other, the monument to 'La Dona Marinera,' which represents the suffering of women waiting for the return of their fisherman husbands. Coastal Mediterranean climate, with temperatures always much milder due to the sea's moderating thermal effect. Even so, it should be borne in mind that the Mediterranean is a warm sea all year round, so the temperature-softening effect that characterizes it is more noticeable in winter than in summer.
