Vélez-Rubio is a Spanish town and municipality located in the southeastern part of the Los Vélez region, in the province of Almería, autonomous community of Andalusia. It limits with the Almeria municipalities of Vélez-Blanco, María, Chirivel, Albox, Taberno and Huércal-Overa, and with the Murcian municipalities of Puerto Lumbreras and Lorca.
