The beautiful marina, away from the town, is the start of the Corridor Verde walking and cycling route alongside the Rio Segura and the sand dunes. There are also two wonderful parks, Alfonso XVIII and Reina Sofia. The pine trees and sand dunes of Alfonso Park connect the town to the marina and provide a flat walking and cycling route. Reina Sofia Park has shady trees, rolling grass hills, manmade ponds and many squirrels, ducks, terrapins and peacocks. There is also a children’s funfair and night market (both in high season), making it a good evening out, especially if you have children.
