The larger village of Castillejar is 3 km away (a 3-minute drive). There you will find everything you need, including 3 or so bar/restaurants, 3 supermarkets, a hairdresser, a medical centre, banks, and a school.
The nearest airport is Granada, around 1 h 30 min drive away, followed by Almeria, Murcia, Alicante, and Malaga.
There are beach areas at Lake Negratin, around 45 minutes drive away, and the coast is around 1 h 30 min by car.
