With the castle set upon the city’s hill, comfortable shoes are recommended for the climb through the narrow, curvy pebble-stone streets.

From the castle, you can see the parish church of the Assumption of the Virgin (Asuncion del Virgen), dating back to the 15th century, with a Levantine-Plateresque style façade. Inside there is a shrine dedicated to the holy communion and an excellent example of Baroque architecture.
