Cave House for sale in Guadix, Granada

In the heart of the Granada region, located on the slopes of Sierra Nevada, there is Guadix. Here we find this large-size house-patio, dating from the 17th–18th centuries, with Moorish elements.

The house has two floors with a central courtyard of the Castilian type. The main façade, with a lintelled doorway, faces the orchard of the Convento de la Concepción. The wooden door has nails and a man-sized passage. A large mirador balcony stands out at the corner, with lowered arches supported on a column. In some of the rooms, the wooden ceilings are still preserved.

The home has two entrances from different streets. By renovating the house in a bohemian style, six spacious independent apartments were built: three with one bedroom and the rest with two bedrooms. All of them have a bathroom, living room, kitchen, and windows to the outside. One of them features a corner balcony with views of the city’s cathedral.

The patio, as well as the house, has also been renovated, but some elements have been preserved, such as the wooden joists, highlighting one with a decorative interlace design above the staircase. Also noteworthy are the corbels and the octagonal columns on which the lintelled structure of the galleries rests. The galleries on the upper floors have been bricked up. The flooring has likewise been replaced with modern tiles.
