Cabo Roig is generally quiet during the winter months and comes to life around May, often busy right through to November. The busiest months are July and August, the quietest January and February.

The obtrusive watchtower, the most famous landmark of Cabo Roig, dates from the 16th century and was originally built to warn of attacks from Berber pirates. The tower now adjoins a restaurant, a great place for a quiet drink as it looks down over the marina and across the sea to La Manga. This is also the starting point for the wonderful cliff walk to La Zenia.

This fine walk offers some stunning views of the coastline and on a clear day it is possible to see the resort of La Manga glistening in the distance. During a hot summer evening you will also enjoy the cooling sea breeze.
