Description
Bookkeeper / Accountant – Fuengirola, Spain
€150 per day | 6 days per month initially | Opportunity to grow with the business
We’re looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our team, based at our Fuengirola office on the Costa del Sol.
The role will be based in Spain but will primarily support and manage the day-to-day accounting requirements of our UK businesses.
· €150 per day
· 6 days per month initially
· Fuengirola, Málaga – office based
· Opportunity for the role and number of days to grow with the business
We’re looking for someone commercially minded, hands-on and confident who can take ownership of the day-to-day numbers and become a trusted part of our wider business.
The role will include
· Day-to-day bookkeeping for our UK businesses
· Bank and account reconciliations
· Purchase and sales ledger management
· Invoicing and credit control support
· UK VAT preparation and submissions
· Management accounts
· Month-end reporting
· Working closely with directors and management
· Helping us improve and streamline our finance processes as we grow
About you
Ideally, you’ll be an experienced bookkeeper, accountant or part-qualified accountant with strong practical experience of UK accounting and bookkeeping.
A good working knowledge of UK VAT and accounting practices is important.
Knowledge or experience of Spanish accounts and accounting practices would be an advantage, but it is not necessary for the role.
Experience with modern accounting software and strong Excel skills would also be advantageous.
But we’re looking for more than someone who simply processes numbers. We want someone who spots things, asks questions, takes ownership and suggests better ways of doing things.
Most importantly, you’ll be commercial, accurate, organised, proactive and comfortable working independently.
Grow with us
For the right person, there’s genuine scope for the position to develop. We’re starting at 6 days per month, but as the business grows, we expect the finance requirement – and the opportunity – to grow with it.
If you’re based on the Costa del Sol and like the idea of working with a growing UK business while enjoying the flexibility of a part-time role in Spain, we’d love to hear from you.
Interested? Send us a message with a brief introduction and details of your experience.
