SPANISH fashion has once again taken to the global celebrity stage: this time, Wrecking ball singer Miley Cyrus has opted for a meringue-style top by a Córdoba-based designer to wear on the video for her latest single, Malibu.
Wearing bunches with six inches of dark roots in her blonde hair, the daughter of singer Billy Ray Cyrus – who shot to fame as the child star of Hannah Montana – Miley looks the picture of fairytale innocence in the puffy strapless white gauze hip-length top, with hand-stitched glass beads, by the label Palomo Spain, the brainchild of fashion creator Alejandro Gómez.
And Gómez noticed her choice – he posted a comment on the photo from the clip Miley uploaded onto Instagram.
“Miley, we loved your new music video! Congratulations. You are looking beautiful in your Palomo,” he wrote.
Gómez was surprised and delighted she had picked his creation, since designers 'are always sending clothes' for celebrities to wear, 'but stylists have so many to choose from' that even world-renowned fashion houses can end up supplying hundreds of outfits before just one is chosen.
He was contacted by the North American singer's stylist after she followed him on Instagram, and is so grateful for her choice that he says he is going to send her a pink dress from last season as a gift.
