They managed to identify 'four or five mothers' following reports of the fight, which started on Saturday at around 19.30.
It apparently started when one of the mothers witnessed some little girls picking on her son and told them off.
This got the girls' mums' backs up and a row broke out, which eventually became violent.
Other mothers got involved in the fight, which ended up with about 30 of them hair-pulling, punching, slapping and shouting.
Things took a turn for the worse when the mums began hurling drinking glasses, chairs, bar stools and even tables at each other and using them to belt the other women with.
At this point, police were called.
They say the 'four or five' identified were those who suffered injuries, but none of these needed medical attention as they were only superficial cuts and bruises.
No formal charges have been pressed, although police took statements from those involved.
The owner of the ball park said about 13 children were playing there at the time.
She criticised the women's behaviour, saying it was not fair on the children that they had to witness it.
One of the kids suffered minor cuts and bruises and several of them became very upset, scared and tearful.
