KING Felipe VI's annual Christmas Eve speech once again included a covert appeal to secessionist politicians, as well as raising concerns about young adults' struggle to afford housing and violence against women.
Elon Musk's brother to marry in Girona; Obama and Will Smith among guests
29/06/2018
BARACK Obama and Will Smith are among the celebrity guests at tomorrow's (Saturday's) wedding in Girona of Elon Musk's brother Kimbal.
The TESLA founder is expected to be at the ceremony, too, along with the former US president (pictured) and the legendary actor, as part of a guest list of 300 people.
Kimbal Musk's wedding will take place in the Greco-Roman ruins in Sant Martí d'Empúries, inland from the Costa Brava, which have been shut to the public from 17.00 today (Friday) to prepare the setting.
The entire complex and its restaurants are closed and a sign has been placed in the car park to warn visitors and residents – many of whom have criticised the move as the ruins are a public space.
Sources from the regional ministry of culture say the complex is, however, available to rent for celebrations and the price is a fixed one for all members of the public, meaning it is not unusual for weddings and other events to be held there.
According to the local station Ràdio L'Escala, security will be watertight and the town of Sant Martí will be surrounded for several hours, but access to the beaches will not be blocked.
Obama is due back in Spain a week today, on July 6, where he will attend the Circular Economics and Innovation Summit in Madrid.
