MIGRANTS who risked their lives on the high seas to reach Spain were kidnapped and held to ransom by a gang based in Algeciras (Cádiz province), the southernmost town on the mainland.

SIX bodies of African migrants have been found off the coast of the province of Cádiz after their raft sank in the high seas as they attempted to reach Europe through the 'back door'.
