The torrent ends at the beach - Platja de Canyamel - which is 300 meters long and has very fine sand. The village offers stores for daily needs as well as a few restaurants and cafés. Further stores and shopping facilities can be found in the neighboring towns of Artà, Capdepera and Cala Ratjada.

For golfers, Canyamel offers an excellent course in a spectacular location with views as far as Menorca.
