This unique dwelling was originally an old Water Mill, today carefully restored as a standalone house. It is located in the quiet and charming Mundillo neighborhood, on the outskirts of the picturesque town of Santa Lucía de Tirajana, about a 40-minute drive from Vecindario.
The property, in rustic and cozy style, sits on a 316 m² plot and is distributed over three floors of 47 m² each, all open-plan. It also has a pleasant exterior space —partly covered with artificial grass— ideal for leisure and rest, with a terrace, barbecue area, and flowerbeds with olive trees, cacti, and succulents.
The House-Mill, previously used for vacation rental, is fully furnished and equipped, respecting traditional Canarian architecture while incorporating modern comforts.
On the upper floor is the bedroom, with a large double bed (1.80 × 2.00 m), a small seating area, and a romantic full bathroom with a vintage-style bathtub, plus air conditioning. Notable is the beautiful wooden suspended staircase and the carefully maintained rustic décor, which preserves the old mill gear, including the original hopper and part of its machinery, restored in detail.
The lower level houses the wheel with paddles that moved with the falling water and turned the grinding stones. This space has been repurposed to create a cozy living area with a sofa bed, table and chairs.
Outside, next to the entrance, there is a terrace with rattan furniture and, on a lower level, a brick barbecue with a wooden table and benches, perfect for enjoying the outdoors.
The “Molino de Cándido Rubio,” as this property is historically known, has great ethnographic value and is part of the Water Mills Route of the Barranco de Tirajana, which gives it notable historical and cultural interest.
The dwelling has no direct road access. It is possible to arrive to drop off groceries or passengers at about 100 m, and private parking is located about 300 m downhill. The walking distance from the parking to the house is about five minutes.
Pets are allowed, well cared for and well behaved.
Water, electricity and internet expenses are not included in the rental price.
