There is a legend I read on one of those days, where the stars illuminate the pages with a powerful white light. It is about Azucena. It tells of an Indian who fell in love with the stars of Lyra that shine intensely and strongly white on summer nights.

We begin. Located on the beach in Castelldefels, the Azucena house rises before us like a beam of light. With 190 m², it grows before our eyes—white and radiant.

Oneida would spend hours contemplating the night-time landscape filled with countless stars, but above all on summer nights, when she was captivated by her vision. She was married to Nayeli, but nature denied her succession, and this brought her discontent and sadness.

We enter with complete independence from the other houses through the front garden. A positive threshold to what we are about to discover. Oneida looked at the stars so much that she imagined what it would be like to have them as her daughters. That fervor made her plead with the gods to help her have a daughter as beautiful as one of those stars.

We open the door and step into the living room. Bright, white, radiant. With a neutral style leaning toward Nordic, it gives us small touches of striking tones in the aluminum details and invites us to dream about how it would feel to rest here.

So strong were Oneida’s pleas that the gods fulfilled the wish that Nayeli would become pregnant.

As we turn our gaze, the large picture window appears before us, catapulting us into the garden. A large garden that extends to the end of the plot. Although there is currently no separation between houses, at delivery there will be a dividing fence between the other houses and a private pool for each.

We go back inside, and behind the sliding wooden door is the kitchen, with many Skandi touches, where appliances from the brand Teka have been installed. The layout is complemented by a guest toilet.

One sweet summer day, Nayeli gave birth. We continue through the bedrooms.

Three are the bedrooms that shelter us, all with private porcelain-lined bathrooms and suspended fixtures.

Azucena was the name of a girl with fair, delicate skin, with beautiful silvery eyes that reminded one of a star. The Azucena house, besides the garden, also has a solarium with a hammock, with a sea breeze, with a clear sky—everything you need to lie back and enjoy every summer night.

It is complemented by an underground garage with space for two vehicles. The Azucena house reminds us that if one day you’re going to follow a star, do it with your heart.
