When Spain hots up, there's nothing like a refreshing dip in your own pool. Even if you're not near a beach, that inviting, shimmering blue in your back garden is the perfect antidote to summer humidity, especially in the sub-tropical Mediterranean climate of the Costa Blanca. If, like so many buyers, you're drawn to this beautiful east-coast enclave, a villa for sale in Alicante province with a private pool could be right up your street.
From the mountainous, pine-covered North Costa Blanca with its relatively 'traditionally-Spanish' essence blends harmoniously with a multi-national population, to the more built-up busier South Costa Blanca with its huge expatriate community and permanent holiday atmosphere, you're sure to find a location to suit you and the right home in it. For a private pool, you'll probably be looking at a detached villa with its own land, meaning plenty of space indoors and out. These normally have a garden or terrace area and, as they're private property, you can personalise your space.
Depending upon your budget, villas for sale in Alicante with private pools can be anything from a cosy, modest house through to a super-luxury mansion, and the pool itself can be anything from the standard 8x4-metre minimum through to an Olympic-sized infinity version. The least-expensive are more likely to be found in the Torrevieja and Orihuela Costa area, including Pilar de la Horadada, Rojales, and Algorfa, or farther inland, such as in Novelda or Villena. Luxury villas with private pools are often more widely available in the north of the province – for example, in Jávea, Altea, Teulada-Moraira, and the broader Dénia zone.
