CELEBRITIES' top holiday haunts include the Balearic Islands of Ibiza and Formentera, especially the former – and several famous faces of various nationalities have been spotted there already this summer.
Paris Hilton (pictured), already an established summer DJ in the Ibiza clubs, writes on Instagram, with the above photograph, that she is 'proud and excited' to be 'honoured with the title of Ambassador' of the island.
In fact, along with the idyllic sandy beaches – such as the Cala San Vicente, pictured below right - and plush yacht marinas, world-renowned clubs such as Pachá, Amnesia, Ushuaïa and Privilegia are among Ibiza's greatest attractions and often frequented by models, influencers, singers and sports personalities.
Ibiza and Formentera together are known as the Pitiusas Islands, although form part of the autonomously-governed region of the Balearics, and are close enough together that a visit to one normally means a day or weekend trip to the other.
Footballer Marc Bartra, pop reality show Operación Triunfo star Aitana – plus a group of female friends – Eugenia Silva, Fulham FC's Luciano Darío Vietto and family, and Spanish model Helen Lindes are some of the others who have posted selfies and scenes on social media from Ibiza and Formentera.
The latter is particularly popular for its natural, unspoilt dunes, pine forests, remote bays and untouristy scenery, making it ideal for those seeking privacy as well as peace and quiet – and, of course, the mineral mud beach said to have excellent skin-friendly properties.
