Glyn Jones, 83 (pictured left), is described as 'cheeky, funny and kind', but suffers from dementia and 'gets confused', say his children.
He has 'a strong Welsh accent' and is very well-known in his home town of Mijas (Málaga province), since he and his wife Barbara 'Babs' Jones have lived just opposite the town hall for 15 years.
Glyn, who has grey hair and wears glasses, has been missing since Sunday and a report has been filed with the police.
It is thought he may have wandered off and been unable to remember his way home.
The family is urging anyone who believes they may have seen him or who may have clues as to where to find him to contact them immediately, as tracing Glyn is now urgent.
They have asked anyone who may be able to help to call the police or contact his wife Babs on (0034) 952 59 10 77.
