Mohammed, from the Madrid suburb of Leganés, rang the 112 emergency hotline at 06.52.
“Hello, sorry, I've just heard my mum suddenly scream and she's fallen on the floor and I don't know what's the matter with her,” Mohammed told operators.
He was with his six-year-old brother at the time.
“She's half-asleep, half-awake,” the youngster reported.
The operator calmed the little boy down and assured him he was 'doing very well'.
After answering a series of questions, Mohammed gave his address.
Paramedics from the SUMMA ambulance service found Mohammed's mum, 32, had fainted and, as she fell, hit herself, hence the scream.
The fainting turned out not to have any serious medical cause, and the mother was discharged from hospital later that day.
