Mili was intubated and on a ventilator for three weeks, and when she awoke from the stupor caused by the heavy sedation she was under, she was stunned to hear she had survived a severe case of Coronavirus which had led to pneumonia.
But not as stunned as she was to find out she had been pregnant, and that she had had twins via Caesarean section at 28 weeks, according to head of neonatology, Dr Félix Castillos.
Mili woke up properly a week after giving birth, and even now she is fully conscious and her babies are recovering well, she still does not remember she was ever pregnant.
She had to come to terms with the shock and surprise, in equal terms, on her own, since she remains quarantined and cannot have visitors.
But she seems happy now she has got used to the idea, and has named her daughters Ayma and Ayla.
The above photograph, from Dr Castillos' Twitter site (@felixcastillos2), shows her holding her babies for the first time.
