Barcelona motorhome and caravan show dates confirmed
02/04/2022
A MUST for fans of motorhomes, campervans, static or towing caravans, Barcelona's huge global trade fair dedicated to holidays on the road has been confirmed for 2022 after the Covid-19 pandemic put paid to the previous two.
Over 600 brand-new makes and models of all types of caravan, from the basic one-room campsite versions that hook onto the back of an average-sized family saloon car through to the height of luxury rivalling top hotels, will be on display at 'Barcelona Fira', or trade fair centre.
At least 130 companies catering for all caravan needs have confirmed their presence.
Taking place in the Gran Vía complex at Barcelona Fira between October 16 and 24, the Salón del Caravaning, as the fair is known, will take up nearly 7.5 acres of space.
The largest of these will be for towing caravans and motorhomes, with 20 or so companies exhibiting.
According to the organisers, the key brands on display include Adrià, Benimar, Carthago, Challenger, Concorde, Dreamer, Elnagh, Eura-Mobile, Giotti, Itineo, Karmann, McLouis, Mobilvetta, Phoenix, Dranger, Rápido, Rimor, Roller, and Yakart.
The second-largest section will be for campervans, with 31 exhibitors including Catalunya Van, Drop Campers, Furgokaravaning, Westfalia, Ford, Iveco, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, and Toyota.
Around 30 firms will be showcasing all types of gear aimed at making caravan and campervan trips - as well as camping or 'glamping' in tents - run as smoothly and as enjoyably as possible, ranging from pneumatic suspension systems, jacks and towbars, through to water-purifying and other hygiene-related chemicals, waste disposal systems, solar panels and batteries, and more along these lines.
To open the fair to as wide an audience as possible, this forthcoming 35th edition includes a brand-new 'outdoor activity' section, focusing on camping, trail-hiking and adventure sports.
