We present a truly authentic traditional Canary Island house, carefully renovated and extended, located on a 325 m² plot in the picturesque La Sorrueda neighborhood, just a 10-minute drive from the town of Santa Lucía de Tirajana. Situated in the Barranco de Tirajana area, about 35–40 minutes by car from Vecindario, and at an approximate altitude of 450 metres above sea level, the property offers magnificent views of the Presa de La Sorrueda, the palm grove, and the surrounding mountains, providing an atmosphere of complete tranquility and natural beauty. This is an ideal location for those who want to disconnect from the pace of city life and live surrounded by nature.

The home has an “L” shape. The oldest part, with more than a century of history, preserves the essence of traditional Canary Island architecture: a beautiful high four-pitch roof, lined with wood inside and covered with Canary Island tiles, thick stone walls, double-leaf doors made of tea wood, and the characteristic old floor of polished cement. A spacious overhang runs along the façade, creating a welcoming porch that protects from the sun and rain. This space, furnished with wooden outdoor furniture and preserving the original opening intended for the still (destiladera)—a very characteristic feature of old Canary Island houses—adds a warm atmosphere full of personality.

In this area, you’ll find a cosy living room, fully furnished, with a wood-burning stove, a flat-screen TV, and a ceiling fan. Next to it is the main bedroom, equipped with a double bed measuring 1.60 x 1.90 m, antique furniture, and also a ceiling fan.

The other wing of the house was extended around fifteen years ago and is built with concrete blocks and a flat roof. It includes a spacious kitchen and a large bathroom with a modern design. This wing is clad with beautiful reddish stone walls on its façade.
The bathroom has a large walk-in shower tray with a hydromassage column and a rain-effect shower. The combination of traditional and contemporary elements stands out, with a built-in shelving unit and a stone sink supported on a sturdy rustic wooden countertop. In addition, it includes a practical washer-dryer.
The kitchen, in a rustic style and painted in an attractive sky-blue tone, is fully equipped with a four-burner gas hob, an oven with grill, extractor hood, microwave, and a large-capacity refrigerator. Its generous size allows for a dining table with four chairs, while also keeping traditional features such as a beautiful wooden Canary Island still (destiladera) and an old restored piece of furniture.

In front of the porch there is an independent structure, approximately 40–50 years old, which houses a practical storeroom-pantry and a multi-purpose room, ideal as an office, workshop, or work space.

The entire property is laid out on a single floor, both the house and the plot, offering great convenience. Access is directly via an asphalt road.
Outside, there is a spacious private terrace, bordered by a wooden fence painted in a striking red colour. It is finished with wooden decking and artificial grass, making it an ideal spot to relax, sunbathe, and enjoy privacy.

The plot has three olive trees, a níspero (medlar), an impressive Canary Island cardón, and some ornamental plants. The rest of the land, covered with picón (volcanic gravel), offers the possibility of creating a beautiful garden or a small vegetable plot. Pets are allowed.

It is important to note that in the La Sorrueda neighborhood there are no shops or other services, except for a restaurant, and there is also no bus stop or bus service. All services and transport are located in the town of Santa Lucía.
